Great purchase, buy one. This is better than my first one( it was old and worn out ). Is it a little noisey, yes but remember your grinding coffee and not smashing grapes like Lucy did ( I LOVE LUCY ).
Once a month I take my kitchen hand sprayer with very hot water, hold the coffee maker upside down at an angle in the sink and gently spray all over inside the machine working the spring loaded mechanism that holds the grounds. I have had this product for several years and have never been dissatisfied. In my opinion this is the finest grind and brew I have ever owned. After all these years I am ordering another and keeping the first one for parts. People complain that it is hard to clean, I disagree. I rinse the guts of the machine and put them in the dishwasher, no problem.
Now, almost everything on it is broken.*The button that releases the basket doesn't work, so I have to pull it open*The plastic part on top of the grinder broke*The grinder will no longer come out of the coffee maker, so I have to dig the grounds out by handAnd of course it only has a one year warranty. I got this coffee maker about a year and a half ago and I really liked it at first. However, it is a huge pain to clean.
The Cuisinart Grind and Brew.Contrary, to the lame reviews that the 1 and 2 star people have given to this coffee maker, I have found this maker to brew the best and Hottest cup of coffee I have ever had out of a home coffee maker. There has never been an issue with cleaning the coffee filter area as others seem to have had a problem with. Coffee's. BIG friggin deal.
So, don't be afraid to buy this great Cuisinart Coffee Maker. The thing just works GREAT. This means that it's used at least 3 or 4 times a day. You won't be disappointed.It's so consistent from use to use as well. While there are people at my office that look at it and look like confused Scooby Doo's, these are the same as the 1 or 2 star people.They just give up if they have to do anything out of the ordinary in life. Yes, great taste, that we couldn't get out of our past Mr.
We're using it in a work environment. GO FOR IT. Yes, you have to clean it and there are a few hidden spots that you have to find at first. After cleaning it a couple times, it takes 2 minutes max to get the job done and ready for the next cup of coffee.
Easy to clean by putting parts in the dishwasher. It turns itself on and shuts itself off. No worries.The only thing is that it's a little tall for under the counter.We have been delighted with it and are about to buy another one. We have had our coffee maker for about 4 years and it has worked perfectly all of this time. It was inexpensive and makes wonderful fresh brewed coffee from beans or pre ground.
